Change Is Only A Prayer Away:

We all have ignored/rejected God and His ways (a.k.a. our sins), and our sins separate us from God, his love, goodness, and his power in our lives. In order to remove the penalty of our sins (eternity in Hell), and make eternal life possible for us, God sent Jesus Christ to take upon Himself the blame and the punishment for our sins upon Himself (He took our place). He was sinless yet was brutally murdered (nailed to a cross), and buried; BUT… He rose from the dead on the third day defeating the power of sin and death on our behalf. He then appeared to over 500 people and before returning to Heaven, told His followers to tell everyone on earth to turn to Him for the forgiveness of their sins and He will give them the promise of eternal life. (Luke 24:46-47)

"For all have sinned and fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet now God in His gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing His life for us." (Roman 3:23-25a)
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17)

You can receive Jesus Christ into your life right where you are
1. Confess to God that you have sinned
2. Turn from your sin and turn to God
3. Ask Jesus Christ to come into our life to be your Lord and Savior
4. Resist any urges to turn away from God

Pray in your own words, or pray this prayer with sincerity to God:
"Dear Jesus Christ, I admit that I have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I am sorry. I thank you that in your love for me you took the blame for my sins upon yourself and in my place suffered the punishment that I deserved for them. With your help, I now choose to turn from my sins and I ask you to come into my life to be my Lord and Savior. You gave your life for me and now I give my life to you, and I will not take it back. Thank you for the good things that you have for me in this life and in the life to come as I keep my commitment to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

The Bible says:
"I write this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God (Jesus Christ) so that you may know that you have eternal life" (1 John 5:13)
And "But as many as received Him (Jesus Christ), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)

Welcome to the Family of God!

The Bible says: When someone becomes a Christian, he/she becomes a brand new person inside. He/she is not the same anymore. A new life has begun. (1 Corinthians 5:17). If you with sincerity of heart have asked Jesus Christ to come into your life to be Lord and Savior, this is true of YOU. God's plan for your life will begin to unfold as you continue to live for Him.

These are just a sample of things that have happened to you:

"Look! I have been standing at the door and am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me."(Revelation 3:20)
• God has forgiven and forgotten your sins.
("for in Christ our release is secured and our sins are forgiven through the shedding of His blood." Ephesians 1:7)
• You have access to God through prayer
"But when you pray, go away by yourself, all alone, and pray to your Father (God the Father) secretly, and your Father, who knows your secrets, will reward you." (Matthew 6:6)

"However do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in Heaven."(Luke 10:20)
• Angels in Heaven are rejoicing over you.
"In the same way, I tell you, the angels of God rejoice over one sinner who repents."(Luke 15:10)
• A place in Heaven is prepared for you.
"Our Homeland is in Heaven, where ou Savior the Lord Jesus Christ is; and we are looking foward to His return from there."(John 14:2-3)
• You have eternal life.
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."(John 3:16)
• God has an eternal purpose for you.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God , to them who are called to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)
• You are saved from the coming judgement of God
(Jesus said) " I tell you the truth: whoever hears my words, and believes in him who sent me (God), has eternal life. He will not be judged, but already has passed fro death to life."(John 5:24)
• You have a future and a hope.
" For I know the plans I have for you}, says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
• God will never leave or abandon you.
..."I will never leave you, I will never abandon you."(Hebrews 13:5)
• You are accepted in the beloved
"But to all that did receive him (Jesus) to those who have yeilded him their allegiance, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

If you have given your life to Jesus Christ:

1. Live for God and His eternal purposes.
" And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus (Christ)..." (Collosians 3:17)

2. Pray daily (talk to God).
Ask Him to help you learn to know His voice. Jesus said, "My sheep recognize My voice and they follow Me."(Matthew 10:27)

3. Read the Bible daily and live by it.
Begin with the "Gospel of John" in the New Testament. Discover God's love for you, the thousands of promises that are yours, and what God now expects from you as you grow to maturity in God.

4. Find a Vibrant Christian Church.
We were never meant to go it alone. Ask God to direct you to the local church that He wants you to be a vital part of. God has a church home for you. You can recognize good churches by their love for Jesus Christ, the Bible, and people. Go to Online Directories or Messianic Jewish Congregations.

5. Trust God who has the power to change things.
Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. (Psalm 37:5)

6. Tell others.
He told His disciples, "I have been given all authority in Heaven and Earth. Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and then teach these new disciples to obey all of the commandments I have given you; and be sure of this-that I am with you always, even to the end of the world." (Matthew 28:18-19)

7. Resist any urges to turn away from God.
"Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Phillipians 3:13-14)

Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

Baptism in Water
Baptism in water is an outward expression of an inward change that has happened in a person’s life. The new believer is simply dunked under water and then promptly raised out of the water. It is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ and our own death and burial of the Christless life and resurrection to a new Christ centered life. This can be done in a church baptism service. Jesus commanded that we be baptized when we have believed in and surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ. He said, "All authority has been given to me in Heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them all I have commanded you... (Matthew 28:18-20)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Where does this term come from? John the Baptist said, "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to tie, He (Jesus) shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." (Matthew 3:11)

You can receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit at any time after receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus said, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be my witnesses...unto the uttermost parts of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Referring to the followers of Christ in the first century the Bible says:
"And all were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:4)
and "for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God." (Acts 10:46)
and "When they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they spoke with tongues and prophesied." (Acts 19:5)

You can receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) now:

1. Turn from sin. Confess and forsake any involvement in the occult or any other abomination to God. (see Exodus 20:3-17 and Deuteronomy 28 in the Bible).
2. Ask Jesus Christ to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
3. Invite the Holy Spirit to come in.
4. As you let the breath out, begin speaking with your own lips and tongue the sounds that God gives you. It may sound like baby talk at first. Now use your new spiritual language often. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:4, "He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself ("builds yourself up"). Speaking in tongues builds you up so that you can believe Gods victory in your life over any circumstances.

About The Bible
The Bible is no ordinary book. Though it was written down by men who were chosen by God for this purpose, God Himself is the author. He dictated the words to be written and it was preserved with amazing accuracy to this day as verified by modern archeology.

The Bible says:
"Above all you must understand that no prophecy in Scripture (the Bible) ever csme from prophets themselves or because they wanted to prophecy. It was the Holy Spirit who moved the prophets to speak from God.." (2 Peter 1:20) and "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do." (2 Timothy 3:16)

The Bible was written over a span of 1,500 years (40 generations) by over 40 "authors" from every walk of life. This includes kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, poets, statesmen, etc. It was written in a variety of places (a wilderness, dungeon, palace, while travelling, and at war. It was written during wartime and peacetime, during moods of joy and despair, on three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe), and was written in three languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek). Still, the Bible has amazing unity and conformity and although all "writers' were not educated people, it is written as if by a brilliant lunguist (God Himself). No one would every doubt the authenticity of the Greek classic Homer (Illyad) which has 643 surviving manuscripts. The Bible (New Testament) has 24,633 surviving manuscripts. The number of Bibles printed could circle the earth well over 1000 times. It has been translated into over 1600 languages and is available in 95 percent of the world's languages and dialects and growing.

By reading and studying the Bible you will get to know and understand God better and learn of the inheritance you have now and in the ages to come. You will learn of the thousands of promises of God that are yours and how to appropriate them. God will "speak" to you through through His Word (the Bible) and You will learn the will of God for your own life. You will grow in practical and spiritual wisdom and understanding. It will revolutionize your thinking and be your manual for living. It will encourage you during hard times and inspire you to go on. It has God's thoughts on a multitude of subjects which are relevant to our lives today. It speaks of the beginning of human history through our time and the future ahead as well as the future ages to come. It contains information about science {such as the true shape of the earth (unknown to science until 1492 AD), the First Law of Thermodynamics, and the genetic code}, that scientists did not discover until many centuries after the Bible was written.

Essentials of the Christian Faith

Any teaching that denies any of the following statements is heresy and false.
"This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from from God" (1 John 4:2-3)

• Jesus is the Son of God.
"...As He was praying, the heavens opened...and a voice from Heaven said, "you are My beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with You." (Luke 3:22)

• Jesus divine eternally.
"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on His shoulders. These will be His royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throneof His ancestor David. The passionate committment of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this!"
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

• Jesus was born of a virgin.
"All right then, the Lord Himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel--"God is with us." (Isaiah 7:14 & Luke 1:28-33)

• Jesus lived a sinless life.
"This High Priest of ours (Jesus Christ) understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same temptations we do, yet He did not sin." (Hebrews 4:15)

• Jesus died an atoning death andwas raised physically on the third day from the dead.
"I passed on to you right from the first what had been told to me, that Christ died for our sins just as the Scriptures said He would, and that He was burried, and that three days afterwards, He arose from the grave just as prophets foretold. He was seen by Peter and later by the rest of the Twelve (disciples). After that He was seen by more than five-hundred Christian brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died by now." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6)

• Jesus ascended into Heaven and one day is coming again in person just as he was seen to go.
"...Men of Galilee, why are you standing herestaring at the sky? Jesus has gone away to heaven, and some day, just as He went , He will return. (Acts 1:11)
